“Rooted in Christ, Serving in Love”
St. Augustine School
In our ever-changing world, the need for strong, supportive communities has never
been greater. At St. Augustine School, we are committed to fostering a culture that
reflects our theme this year, "Rooted in Christ, Serving in Love." This commitment is
beautifully encapsulated in Ephesians 3:17-19, which encourages us to be rooted and
established in love, allowing us to grasp the breadth and depth of Christ’s love.
On September 13th, our staff and students participated in a school-wide “re-TREE-at”
which was an inspiring event focused on strengthening our school culture and climate
through our School Spirit Teams. Just as a tree’s strength lies in its roots, our school
community’s strength is found in our foundation of faith. By grounding ourselves in
Christ, we are better equipped to love and serve one another. The activities during the
re-TREE-at emphasized collaboration, trust, and understanding, fostering a sense of
belonging and unity among staff and students. As we worked together, we learned to
support each other, much like the branches of a tree rely on a strong trunk. The
activities prompted us to share our experiences and reflect on how our faith informs our
actions within our school community.
Serving in love goes beyond simple acts of kindness; it involves cultivating an attitude of
compassion and selflessness. Our Spirit Teams are dedicated to creating an
environment where every individual feels valued and supported. The re-TREE-at
highlighted our commitment to one another and to our school community.
As we move forward in this school year, let us remain rooted in Christ, allowing His love
to guide our interactions and service to one another. The lessons learned during our
re-TREE-at will continue to resonate as we strive to build a community marked by love,
unity, and faith. Together, we can create a nurturing environment where everyone is
empowered to grow, serve, and reflect the love of Christ in all that we do. Let us
embrace this journey, rooted in love and dedicated to serving one another this school
year.
